Community Acupuncture is practiced in a group, rather than on-on-one, setting. First, you will fill out a short intake form then meet briefly with one of our licensed practitioners. You will then receive your acupuncture treatment in a comfortable chair, in an open room, listening to relaxing music surrounded by others receiving their treatment at the same time. Don’t worry! You won’t be baring much skin. Wear comfortable, loose clothing that can be rolled up to expose your arms and legs. The treatments are primarily on the front of the body and mainly on distal points (legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, etc). In our busy society, it is not often we stop and take time to relax surrounded by our peers. Community Acupuncture is not a lack of privacy but an opportunity to experience treatment with family, friends and community. As with any intentional group endeavor, the shared state of creating a healing atmosphere makes individual treatments more powerful and effective.
Acupuncture promotes relaxation, pain relief, brain clarity and increases energy and stamina. It is also effective for the following conditions: stress, anxiety, depression, headaches, fatigue, insomnia, pain, infertility and much more.
